Drawing on the work of several recognized experts in the field of curriculum design, this two-day workshop provides comprehensive instruction in the design and development of curriculum. Using a structured, sequential model, this training focuses on the critical elements of effective design. Learners will be able to apply the Creative Course Construction model, techniques, and tools resulting in a standardized, replicable approach to curriculum design or redesign. This hands-on workshop introduces a variety of tools to help (1) determine and clarify a workshop goal, (2) select, prioritize and sequence workshop content, and (3) recognize the six ways that learning objectives add value. Using writing exercises and other activities throughout the instruction, participants will apply this model to the topic of choice.
