It is critical for organizations to establish mechanisms for the selection of service providers in order to procure the most cost-effective services, comply with regulations and take advantage of expertise external to an organization. In this two-day workshop participants will begin to identify, understand, and manage the RFP process from development through award. The components and construction of an RFP will be discussed. Other topics covered are: using RFP, sole source, and small purchase procurements appropriately, developing RFP rating systems to effectively evaluate proposals, conducting cost and price analyses.
